About Me

My photo
Madrid90
Hello/Hola my name is Desirre Madrid and I am a 4th grade Dual Language teacher at Bonham Academy in San Antonio, TX. I absolutely love 4th grade and I LOVE LOVE LOVE teaching Dual Language students. I am going into my 17th year of teaching, four of those have been as an Instructional Coordinator prior to going back to the classroom in 2011. I team teach with another 4th grade Dual Language teacher so the subjects I teach are Reading, Writing and Social Studies. Because of this I am able to integrate all three subject areas easily. In my spare time I dance Folklorico and Flamenco just to de-stress and do some form of cardio. I love Zumba and I am also looking into improving my health and losing weight. I have a son who is in college and is 22 years old. I started this blog just to write down my own ideas, any ideas I can find and just to be able to share with others and also to network. I would also like to discuss and share ideas on teaching English Language Learners, so I am excited in starting this new venture and see where this journey will take me.
